I used nitromors for mine and it came up well with loads of elbow grease

Think I used various scrapers tbh then finished off with wet and dry before bringing it back with Autosol.

Another Alu Elite owner here. Has been ignored at the back of the bike shed for too long and is now coming out of hibernation. Bonus- I found my bag of custom orange anodised bits for it last night- including an orange original XT headset, but they all look a bit burnt orange/ brown, so maybe won't make it to the build. Pics to follow. Genuinely can't wait to ride it again. It's been 5 years...
