What was the repair to the seat area?

I'm not sure the badly matched touch up looks so good, it is kind of Marin-Lite ;) . I would've coated it in black hammerite but quite like the decals.

The seat tube started to crack perpendicular to the base of the slot. I guess it was something to do with years a USE with a short shim and a lot of post showing.

54*17, perfect gearing. Only trouble is starting after stopping at a red light on an uphill!
