i need to relay some vinyl tiles in the bathroom due to them peeling up from water damage.
the floor is dry now, but owndering if there is anything else i could do to make them more water-resistant.
i have some selfadhesive vinyl tiles.
what else can i paint/apply to the wood hardboard that'd make a good sealant before applying the tiles???

as in cork tiles?
no can do. need to use the spare ones so it matches the rest of the bathroom.
i can't use anything thick (i.e. another material type of board) because it'll sit above the rest of the flooring.
needs to be a paint type substance - like a waterproof coating of PVA? would that work alright, to then have the tiles stuck to it?

Sorry, completely misread the post. What Ross said, or over here they use bitumen paint for sealing floors, bit strange but seems to work ok.

I should add if you do give safeguard a call, mention my name - Ross Jackson from Evergreen Roof Gardens, we do quite a lot of business with them, they might give you a discount, or put the phone down! They know their stuff so should be able to point you in the right direction.
