Specialized hub adaption/conversion??

Not entirely sure if this should be here, or the 97 section, but anywhoo...

I've just received a wheel in the post, built around a Specialized Stout hub (looks to be 10mm OD for the skewer - which acts as an axle on the bearings from what I can tell) but as it would be a shame to rip the hub from the wheel, I've decided to keep it all intact.

So the question is... Can I adapt/convert the skewer/axle combo to accept an older-scool hub QR. Or, as the skewer is pretty hefty, does anyone know of a super lightweight alternative??

Yeah sorry I shoulda said front hub....

80g is positively lardy-assed compared to the 12g QR that's currently on there...

I guess if you find a tube with the correct id/od then it should work, it would have to be pretty precise though.

But the Stout QR also replaces the spindle so might actually be lighter than a standard qr!

Stupidly, I hadn't thought of that..

I'll have to weigh the wheel now, just to see how heavy/light it is compared to the x517/Hugi setup that's on the bike at the moment..
