Pendle Witches 2013

So it looks like those of us that did the 2012 ride get the chance to apply a week early for the 2013 ride. If I try really hard I can almost forget just how steep those hills were and how cold and wet I felt at the end. So I'm thinking about doing it again just to have a reason to keep me out on the bike through the winter. Anyone else interested?

When is this? Do you have a weblink?

Didn't do this last year but interested this time.

Easter Sunday

Thank goodness it's Easter!

Good excuse not to do it...........................

I've already abandoned a trip to the Ronde that weekend.

Nooooooo! If you're not going I'll have to ride there and back! That's an extra 50+ miles - still I should be nicely warmed up by the time I get there .

Mark.

I have ambitious plans to arrive at the start on time

Ned, can I talk you into changing your mind? Think about the screaming descents! The free pie! The (guilt) free beer...

That wasn't the descent screaming, it was me. Well it was foggy and braking would've meant I didn't catch up the time lost going uphill so slowly. :D

That run down from the top of Nick O'Pendle towards Clitheroe was terrifying wasn't it? Freezing fog, with trees, dry stone walls, barbed wire fences and in my case, a Mercedes G-Wagen looming out of the murk...
