Stronglight Zicral are a good compromise - durable like TA but a bit more affordable.

TA, Middleburn, Stronglight are the only ones that last for me.

I fit and use TA rings in the shop as they are simply superb. You should be able to get a set for the price of the Race Face rings but not as cheap as the middleburns. Damm those are cheap.

I'm using Renthals on my modern bikes. Very light, very strong, wearing well, no chainsuck and look cool.
