Hope v2 moto squealing disc

well, i tried a number of things, including wet and dry and what i really needed to do was heat the little buggers up and drive the damp from the garage out of them

after a little ride with the brake squeezed half on, they were fine

I have heated them to red hot most times. I take heed of your warning though!

If we've ever had squealing Hope disk brakes we've always coated the disk in gritty mud, gone for a quick spin and hey presto, no more squealing brakes.

I do this also or rather have noticed that it clears up noises for a while at least.I think its to do with the pad compound 'polishing' the rotor :? .In road use my rotors take on a mirror finish and i get a high pitched whine on initial braking,this clears up as i increase pressure.
