I've got a set of Hayes brakes and one of the pistons is stuck on each caliper. New pistons are available, but just wondered if anyone had any removal tips for the old one? Read a few horror stories of people snapping the tabs off the old ones trying to pull them out.
I was thinking of bleeding the brake dry, removing the caliper and splitting it and soaking it in penetrating fluid. Then using a small socket to tap it out?
