Hi Everyone
Here is my finished 1984 Raleigh Professional Team Panasonic :D :D
Special Build SB7197
531 Professional Tubing
Campagnolo Record and Nuovo Record Mix
4-Hole Front Mech
When i get some more funds together i will invest in a better saddle
The Brooks Colt is Fine for now
Quite a lot of work has been done to it,mainly the front forks, which had some surface rust issues,C&G Finishes did a grand job as always
Everything else was done by myself
I just love these Special build Raleigh's
I have another Raleigh Team Panasonic 531c WIP
Anyway hope you enjoy The photos,to many to post
All the best guys
Cipo (Malc) North Wales

Lovely!
Really nice job, it looks great and bet it rides the same. I am starting to like these Raleighs more and more lately.
I agree with JC, some bigger finer detail pics would be welcomed.
Thanks for sharing
Jamie

Just upload your photos to a hosting site (like photobucket) and post the link here between the IMG tags.

Classy bike.

What make is the handlebar tape?

Only thing I would change is the saddle.

Love the bike though

Very tidy indeed Malc, what saddle will you go with - Rolls? Turbo? And will it go up on rBoTM? It would certainly be a contender.

If you put it up for rBoTM you'll need these tweaks to satisfy the pedants (like me):

1. Tip the 'bars up slightly.
2. Match the saddle colour to the 'bar tape.
3. Or change the 'bar tape to black or white with matching saddle.
4. Put some pedals on with white toe straps.

But seriously it is a cracking bike - well done.

Rolls or Turbo? Tough choice.

Mark.

Just look for the nomination thread in the Retro Road section at the start of each month. Entries usually close mid month.

yup, bars rotated at stem, a notch or two, and stem down in the head tube half an inch, seat nose up a degree or two, white benotto bar tape, black rolls saddle and put some veloflex pave tyres on or change the rims for tubulars eg mavic GP4 with some nice giro continental or vittoria rallye gum sidewall tubular tyres!

oh and please please PLEASE can we get some close up shots too?! as many as you can upload!!

absolute killer bike!

VIVE LE RALEIGH RETRO!!

White Benotto tape ordered!!
I have N.O.S Mavic OR10 gold Tubular rims on Royce hubs with Clement Futur tyres Extremely light
I have thought of the Regal Girardi Saddle which i have fitted to the Rourke.
Or i do have a nice black grained Rolls!!
Don't really want to spend at the moment (her indoors   )
