Confused.com about fork length.

Hi all.

I'm thinking of replacing my Suntour XCR forks with a pair of Exotic Cycles carbon rigids. The XCRs are 130mm travel and 440mm axle to crown length.
Exotic cycles fork chooser list is bewildering but I'm looking at these: http://www.carboncycles.cc/?p=958&[/url]
It says they're 44.5cm long (I'm guessing axle to crown length?) but in the chart it states they're for 100mm travel forks. There is a 130mm travel version: http://www.carboncycles.cc/?p=786& but it's listed for a 29'er.

Aaaargh! What do you do? I've e-mailed but had no response as yet. I'm thinking the first choice - my thinking being that my XCRs are only 130mm travel when I'm not sat on the bike, but factoring in a bit of sag and they're nearer 100mm. Is this right?

I think my head is going to explode

What bike will they be going on?

440/445 mm rigid forks are usually regarded as being a replacement for 100mm sus forks, since that is roughly the axle-crown measurement when sag is taken into account.

I think it is highly unlikely that your 130mm forks have an a-c of 440mm. Probably closer to 500mm fully extended, and 465 ish with sag. measurement is axle centre to bottom ( crown ) bearing race.

The bike is a Carrera Kraken which I'm mainly using to commute on (hence the reason for ditching the Suntours).

I'm a muppet and measured wrong
500mm is more like it. So you think I'm looking at 46.5cm forks?
They're listed for 26" wheels but in the description it states for 29er/700c wheels???
