DAMN single front chain ring. Help!

Im running a single front chain ring with a BB mounted blackspire C4 bash guard and guide but have had no end of bloody niggling problems when im in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th and 9th literaly a quater of a back peddal and it pulls the chain of the front ring. has anyone else had this and how do i stop it happening please its very very annoying not had the problem before.

hmm this sounds a strange one
i run a ds1 which i think is the same
only problem i had with mine is that the top 'runner' didnt stick out far enough so i spaced it out with some washers

you sure you got the right chainline/bb?

Might be your hub body isn't de-clutching properly?
Way to test would be to take your back wheel off and turn your cassette backward and see if it gives any resistance.

This doesn't really explain it only happeneing on the wider cogs of the casstte but worth a try.

Jockey wheels/hanger out of alignment either laterally or vertically.
I had the same prob where the jockey wheel wouldn't rotate on back pedal, caught the mech cage and pulled the chain sideways.

I grabbed the mech and bent it and the hanger up down left right until it was smooth pedaling backwards.
