I have recently become the owner of a Peugeot Chamonix roadbike (minus the wheels) but cannot find any information about its history and wondered if anyone here can help.
Its blue with Cantilever brakes and has labels saying “Mangalloy HLE”, “Peugeot Cycles Computer Design” and “Direct Brazing System” and has pink, blue, yellow and white splashes which indicate it was probably 88-90 and has the Type V logo on the head tube.
The frame number is YOO1 43053
I got the bike to run as a singlespeed for work and was considering respraying it, but thought if there was any historic value to it I would try and restore it.
