after reading various old magazines and seeing comments posted on here
i present for your ridicule , what are supposed to be 2 of the worst riding
bikes of our era .
a 91 cannondale se1000 and a 92 trek 9200
spent the afternoon in the sunshine getting them ridable
so i will do a bit of a head to head over the next week or so just to find
out how bad they are

the pair have cost about £200 to get to the state pictured

if you can think of anythin worse by reputation let me know

any comments welcome too

can i have your stuff when they find your body...i got dibs on the stems at least.. :D i think this must be the first type of post on this sublect ive read on here..good luck but my money is on the trek being the worst..is that rust i see in those fork boots>

l dont know, that Dale looks like it could do some pretty serious fish tailing

ls it some sort of soft tail design with no front sus? :?

Good thread :)

i have never ridden either but i understand the trek is bouncy and has a tendency to feel like it has a sideways movement due to being not very stiff. the cannondale i sort of like the looks in a weird way.

i expect a full on magazine type report ;) :D

Cannondale is looking good, as for the trek....you know what you about Specializeds? Multiply that by ten and add a bit for good measure

Is the Cannondale specifically designed for the adventure of being pinged over the bars?

Mikee with your riding abilities its gonna be good to
get a woman's perspective on how the bikes handle.

;) x

That's a full on rear suspension design, buy a pair of forks and you have a full sus bike.
We had Front sus, Rear sus and Full sus bikes back then.
None of this hardtail, softtail, full sus used now.

Just need a ProFlex in that line up, Flexy by name Flexy by nature.
