As per title really

I want to remove the laquer from my soon to arrive Karama Kona U'hu so i can then fill the dings & have the front end sprayed.

I'm doing this on a budget so would prefer to do this with the elbow grease method as opposed to the media blasting one ;)

Will Nitromors work :?:

Yep, Nitromoors will work. Used it to strip my old Orange Elite. Harder to remove then paint imo as some bits take some shifting but it does the job. ;)

sd

hopefully you have some of the old Nitro mors as the new stuff is rubbish

thank you to the EU for ruining paint stripper

I've started using Wurth gasker remover:

http://www.wurth.co.uk/catalogue/pdfs/UK-CD_08_0065.pdf

It' a spray on gasket remover. Turns the epoxy and polyester powder coats on my stuff to a rubbery skin in a few hours, which can be peeled or rubbed off, no blasting needed. Doesn't attack the alu at all.

Not cheap at about £14 a can, but that will do 2-3 frames.
Other gasket removers are available...:D

All the best,

Here's one I did earlier, with gasket remover:

All the best,

Wow that looks cool Dan, no yukky mess as per Nitromors.

Can't wait to try it.

Yup, it works on powdercoat...I've not actually tried it out on any enamels, epoxy 2-packs or cellulose stuff yet.

That peeling gunmetal in the pic above is Tiger Drylac Eisenglimmer P7 (29/82160), a polyester-based architectural powdercoat. (Tiger-coatings.com)

All the best,
