Recommend me a jacket...

Right, I need to get myself a jacket for cycling to and from work in, so needs to be windproof at the least - I don't really ride in the rain (big girl's blouse, me) so waterproof is not such an issue - but it does need to be as cheap as you can get without losing too much quality.

Anyone recommend anything?

:)

I love Pearl Izumi Vagabond Jacket (but not cheap? £60 at wiggle), they make well designed stuff that works and lasts - this is nice and light (for layering) and the arms unzip (sounds weird but IMHO is very useful increasing the use of the jacket into the spring) also the 'screaming yellow' is visible for safe commuting

I use a Lusso Aquacape around £18, water resistant, wind proof, but with breathing mesh down the backs of the arms and sides. Ideal for a commute. Comes in fluo yellow.

I use pearl izumi sleeveless for regular, and Buffalo Mountain Shirt (Retro Too!) for cold weather- not at all cheap........though I also have a Calange windproof that I've had for years and still does the job, which was @£30 or so.

Cheers,

Gore windstopper N2s Jacket - silly offer at wiggle at the mo.

Best top I have ever bought.

Everytime I go to buy one of those N2Ss [on gump's recommendation] it's dropped in price again!

GBP58.49 now!!

Going to sort one out this arvi.. ;)

No John, I wore an Endura Event Jacket on that day. Again, bloody good jacket for rain. Waterproof and pretty breathable for a waterproof.

The Gore N2s is much more versatile though, more breathable, warmer, cooler etc..

Stopped buying cheap clothes after the N2S, and never looked back..
