Having just seen an advert for the 6th (?) series of this show I feel I have been living under a rock for a while

So then who watches it? Is it worth me watching from series 1?

wherever we were in the country, our 1983 Ford Fiesta 1.1L would be at its limit flying down the A1 or M6 to get back in time for the first series of 24

BBC used to show it on Sundays, it started in the daylight in the middle of summer and as the series progressed through the 24 'day' the seasons changed and as the nights drew in, the episodes would coincide with darker evenings. It was classic!

After the BBC lost out to SKY, we never bothered with it after series 2.

Always look like the same ol crap from Hollwood to me. You know the star will save the earth in time

It is simply what TV was made for, there is nothing better broadcast :D though I'd recommend buying/renting the boxsets. Jack Bauer is the hardest man alive.

I don't think I could watch something that claims to take place in 24 hours but is on its sixth season :?

Lost interest after the 3rd series. Rent the first box set, and if you like it take it from there.
