Turbo Trainer - Sorry I need to buy one and need advice pls

Third child due any day and my riding has already to come to a stop, not been out for a week :cry: , always hated the thought of using a turbo trainer but I think I am going to need one as the other two children are under 5, think my wife is going to need my help :shock:

How much do you have to spend? Is noise levels an issue?

Couple of hundred mate, maybe a bit more. Noise not an issue as would go in the garage.

Go for a magnetic one,then get a copy of Pete Reades turbo training book so that the time spent on it is worth while and not just complete boredom!

I like the trainers which use rider weight to hold the bike on the trainer. They reduce the pressure on the tyre so you do not get excessive resistance and tyre wear. Also a doddle to pop the bike in and out.
