Need a new one, Halfords has been my go to, but wondered if there are any alternatives that are recommended.....(there must be??!!)

Re:

I've just had to have a new one in my Ford KazKa(r)

Found the local Ford dealer got me one for the same price as Halford's, fitted it for less, it was to Ford spec and had a longer warranty. So don't rule out your local garage/dealership, assuming you haven't got something rare or specialist, or a Lada (remember them....??!)

Local motorfactors are far better and often cheaper.

Halfords are often very very expensive. I've known them locally to fit the wrong amp hour batteries for diesels.

Re:

Eurocarparts it is - don't know why I didn't think of them before....
25% off and I get a battery at less than half the price of Halfords. (£75 with same day delivery!) Wish I'd done this before doing the wife's car!!!

Have a look at Carparts4less http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/?gclid=C ... tAodeRcA7w , they're owned, I think, by Eurocarparts but are cheaper for same parts.
Got a battery off them last month. Free post and it arrive in 3 days.

Yep! their owned by Euro car parts and i got my last battery from Alpha batteries who are pretty cheap tbh and i think their delivery was free too and within about the 3 day period and they specialise in batterries so you can get one for private or commercial vehicals ..
