Landslide in chinese carbon district!

Just seen on the news that there has been a landslide in Shenzhen.This is where a lot of Chinese carbon comes from. I hope the workers are ok.

Turns out that there were (fatalities), and ... the slide was a huge pile of mud/dirt that had been dumped into place by construction operations, without adequate/requisite retaining methods.
 
Lets hope everything is not too bad for those involved or caught up in it. Regardless of what's manufactured in the area.

Steel and aluminium are recycled (no pun intended) but does carbon fibre go in the landfill?
