Our local butcher makes his own, and they are superb.
He tells an amusing little tale of a local 'colourful character' who bought some on his way home from a jolly session of carousing with his chums and pals.
The character called in again at the butchers the following day, to say how much he had enjoyed the faggots, but complained that he thought they were a little under cooked.
The butcher was confused and asked what the character meant, it then came out that he had eaten them take-away style on his way home.....raw!
