Went into Morrisons......they now have hot chickens on an open table. I asked why some were behind the counter being kept hot and some were (still hot) but left on a disply table cooling down.......all do do with this new hot food tax thing.........ie cheaper if bought off the table

But isn't chicken dodgy if left to cool down slowly all day ???

So long as it's cooked properly and not cross-contaminated with raw meat it should be fine. Never had cold roast chicken from Sunday through the week?

yes had cold chicken etc..........but always remember hearing something about, hot meat should be cooled quite quickly due to room temp can go up and down a bit ?..........so once this stuff has cooled from hot, technically should it not be in a fridge and not left at room temp...............maybe they are going to put a few out at a time hoping they will be picked up before going cool.........they are sealed of course :D

I'd be more worried about the great unwashed mauling them after picking their nose...
Factory fowl for the fecking lazy.

Its fine, the same thing will happen when you take it from behind the counter, stick it in the trolley, then all the way home. If it was there a day or two though....

If you're happy eating factory farmed meat, kept in squalid conditions and stuffed full of chemicals and growth hormones, you go for it...

Mmmmm chicken! The best kind.

keeping hot food should be above 63 c

if not , they can leave them for up to 2 hours at ambient temperature .
