Today's Ride

Another warm day so didnt go out until this evening when it was a bit cooler, still got a sweat on though.

The local spots were a bit busy with walkers and such so i headed out across country a bit into solitude. Thought i could do a loop before sundown, hmmm, nearly, but it was fun trying to remember where the roots are on some of the singletrack in the fading light.

A great ride on a glorious evening. Shame my camera doesnt pick the colours of the sky up. Though i did come across a Swan with a novel way to self isolate :)

Got to ask, where are all these strange carvings?

Re:

A beautiful morning here in East Devon so I took my hour's exercise in the local woods before most people were up, the bike is my Roberts Roughstuff with Team Raleigh paint job posted up in the up to 1997 MTB section.

There was nobody around on my way out to the woods.

Possibly my favourite time of the year with the bluebells out.

It was a little misty down the Axe Valley, you should be able to see the sea but not today.

The armada beacon house was deserted.

As were the woods.

Here is a telescope shot my son took from his bedroom window of me and a stranger on North Hill ;)

..And yes, she thought I was crackers.

Indeed the trails are in perfect condition at the moment. Defo chillier and a lot more breezy than the weekend but absolutely dead in the woods, not a soul to be seen this morning. Magic!

Single-track ahoy, this beast is a joy to ride

Some great looking trails and scenery on some of these recent posts, very inspiring.
