if you knock it hard, don't you bend the cartridge in the holder.

Neat, but doesn't look overly practical

I’d imagine that’s certainly a possibility, or crack the holder. The threads are fully wound in so it’s pretty solid.

Practical? When did that stop us :lol:

Never, that's why it's neat :-) :lol:

There are some idiots hurtling downhill over bumpy stuff at 20-30+mph on 25-30 year old boingy forks.

Very interesting. Never seen one before. The Canada wrap is a nice finishing touch. Here a similar solution that came on Miyata bikes.
