Just bought these rare Hope presta valve caps. They were made by Hope for a bike show about ten years ago for the Hope stand. The previous owner approached Hope at the end of the show and bought them all. He had blue, gold and a red set. They only made these as a one off and I still can't believe that I got to buy them. Not cheap, but they will look great with my mint Mavic 517s, just built up with DT revs, red Hope ti hubs, red nips and red hope Skewers. They will feature one day on a 1999 Kona Explosif Reynolds 853, XTR build. Has anyone seen or own a set of these caps out there?

I did bid up to £40 for the ones that went for £54 and was dissapoined not to win them. Contacted the seller and agreed to buy his last set of gold ones. Not the ideal colour, but at least I would own a set. He then contacted me to say that he had found another red set while looking for the gold ones. I offered £40 and the deal was done! Very pleased as these are truly awesome and a talking piece on a full top end build. My Hope equiped Kona Explosif now feels complete with these bad boys and thus well worth the price. 8)
