were sold via bike shops, i bought mine from the shop i worked in.
"bet they didn't cost you £54 though
I did bid up to £40 for the ones that went for £54 and was dissapoined not to win them. Contacted the seller and agreed to buy his last set of gold ones. Not the ideal colour, but at least I would own a set. He then contacted me to say that he had found another red set while looking for the gold ones. I offered £40 and the deal was done! Very pleased as these are truly awesome and a talking piece on a full top end build. My Hope equiped Kona Explosif now feels complete with these bad boys and thus well worth the price.
1998 Kona 853 Explosif, 1999 NOS Kona 853 Explosif, 1999 NOS Lynskey signed Litespeed Obed Ti, 1999 Marin Mount Vision (custom), Cannondale Bad Boy 700c Disc (everyday hack) and a 1993 Marin for the Wife. Latest build in progress is a 1993 Marin Eldridge Grade with original paint.
"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."
