Dirt Disciple
Hello everyone, I will try to paint a frame I bought recently.
It was severely damaged in the paint and stickers.
The frame is completely stripped with paint remover.
My frame number are C57KS0452.
The original color was dark grey but i want to paint the frame black and white '92 style.
I post pictures to follow the progress of repaint.

I have a '95 bear valley about to get the exact same treatment. Will be looking fwd to seeing how this turns out :D

In fact I explained myself badly, I do not want to repaint the frame origin.
I would like to make a personal painting style of Team Marin 1992.
Green replaced by black and black replaced by white.

I started painting the frame after having manufactured a paint booth.
As I explained above the rear frame is painted black and the front will be painted white.
The seat tube will be painted white in the middle and black at the ends.
I think it can make a nice effect if I get to paint properly.
I use the Hammerite paint for quality and durability.
A French using paint made in England, is it good?

Hello,
The black paint is currently drying.
Tomorrow I delimits the black and white with masking tape to make the layers of white.

Looks like you're taking your time and doing it right - looking forward to seeing the end result - do you have decals yet?

Hi,
I give you news about my work.
I had to wait for the drying of black paint to perform masking.
So I made the layers of white today.
I'll see tomorrow if I can remove the mask to see the result.

Thank you for your welcome,
This is not the first frame that I repainted but the rest were cheap bikes, while Marin has sentimental value for me.
I bought my first Marin in 1994, a bobcat (top end) I abused off-road but it is always clean and has no cracks.
These are good frame chromo increasingly rare in France.
