Cannondale Frameset with Pepperoni forks.

Being built up with a mixture of Deore XT M730/M732 and Deore 11 MT-62

Cannondale V500 with DD60 Headshok.

At the moment it has XT hubs on Mavic 517 rims, Magura HS33 brakes and not much else so obviously needs a complete rebuild and re-equip

Cannondale Frameset with Tange forks.

Got this free with a set of Pepperoni forks and not sure what I will do with it. Frame is absolutely tiny, around 14".

Ridgeback 703DX

Back in the day I worked for Madison who own Ridgeback and are the UK importers of Shimano. 5 of these were stolen from the old warehouse in Horseshoe Close NW2 and found 18 months later unused with various scratches and the seats and seat posts gone so I bought 2 of them for £180 each, they were about £750 retail.

Deore DX throughout but the best part is the Tange Prestige frame so nice and light as well as very strong Araya RM20 rims so far from delicate.

Keep up the good work.

Re:

Nice Trek 8000 (purple)

I one of these when i was yonger, beautiful welding very light frame, mine came with Trek Shox. These were a budget Rock \Shox option at the time.

Nice to see the love for Trek's!!

People forget that in the early 90's Trek was one of the most popular brands in the UK. This was no doubt helped by being sold in the Freewheel shops but the price points were right for the specs as well as looking good.

The 8000 was one of the best sellers in its price point in 1990 as were models like the 830 Antelope but these are often pushed into the shadows by brands such as Cannondale, Klein etc which were considerably more expensive, 50-100% more expensive. This I consider to be an unfair comparison.
