It's only taken me 24 years but on Monday I finally became the proud owner of the other of my two poster bikes. The Attitude was another unicorn from the pages of MBUK that adorned the walls of my bedroom, along with the Pace's of the time and quite a few naked ladies :p

I have owned a few Pace frames & forks but the Attitude always seemed to elude me. I remember seeing a HLF in On Your Bike in Birmingham years ago but within a matter of days it had been sold and my search continued. There have been a few contenders over the years on RetroBIKE but always when I didn't have enough spare cash or weren't quite up to the condition I was looking for. That is until I spotted the recently refurbed Dolomite that 'thesneaker' (James) had for sale, and it came at a time when I could actually afford it, apart from going on an unplanned holiday a week later, yeah thanks SWMBO! :D

Big thanks to James for bearing with me while I kept him waiting for his money and the other members I have bought bits from to get this build completed...I say completed, there are a few upgrades planned, once I have saved up some more dosh and actually found what I'm after!

The unboxing. Excited? Does a bear shit in the woods!!! :D

The main stumbling block during assembly turned out to be the clearance or lack of it for the cantilever link cables around the bulkier modern rubber but I got round this by fitting hangers which are also a hell of a lot easier to set-up ;)

That looks fantastic

I was tempted myself but held out for my own "Eleanor" which I now have :D

Is this going to be a regular rider? or a sunny days smile'a'thon?

Thanks :)

Yeah it will be a regular rider...as long as it's not pissing down  in fact I've already been out for a quick shake down this afternoon and I'm waiting for the temp to drop a bit before I go for another blast this evening

Looks great Ian, nice to see a Klein rider, enjoy :)
Cheers James, I'm loving it, can't stop staring at it and enjoying riding it even more, so fast!
I rode past a group of young lads on it earlier, prob about the same age I was in 1990 when I first clapped eyes on an Attitude and their response was no lesser than mine: 'WOAH, LOOK AT THAT!' :p

Re:

Looking at that unopened box I feel like a child at Christmas. The excitement even though I know what's in it! Nice Klein and great your riding it. I ride mine and they are too good not to use them.
