93 Wheeler 9900 + 93 Scott Super American + Van der Vleuten

Hi,

This week I bought a Wheeler 9900 Team. It is in a poor state and needs quite some love to get rolling again. The nice thing is that it´s complete and original, besides the tires. And it seems it hasn´t been used that much. But it probably spent 99% of it´s twenty years outside. So the steel stuff is rusty and the aluminium components lost their shine.

The frame is made from Easton ProGram Varilite tubing. The welds are done very nicely. The fork is also aluminium. It has a 7 speed XT group, Mavic rims, a Dia Compe 1.1/4 inch headset and a nice bar/stem combo.
Since the frame fits me well (50cm center to top) I'm going to keep this one and will get it going again.
I must say I've got a soft spot for the top-end Wheeler bikes. Althought Taiwan made, it's very well built with nice detailling. And it's quite light.

I´ll start with some pictures of the current state. Look at the saddle, it's completely weathered.

The Scott and the Van der Vleuten bike I picked up on the way.

:D

Well well, it seems you did some serious Marktplaats hoarding..!
Looking forward to seeing these develop.

Have fun!

That's right, mp, love that site. Especially when people offer a bike as 'mountain bike' and don't mention any brand, type, size or year
