Black BSA conversion

Hi all.

This is the bike that got me back into cycling after 5 years - just 4 months ago in fact.

Found it via eBay, a BSA WestCoast 15-spd, structurally sound but with a bent rear axle and both derailleurs jammed and twist-grip changers broken, and only one working brake. I paid £29 for it. Made sometime in the 90s, not sure when.

Work done:
2 Raleigh wheels with black rims fitted
New-Old-Stock Shimano MF-Z012 freewheel fitted
2 Schwalbe LandCruiser 1.75" tyres
2 Slime tubes
Replace broken twistgrips with NOS Shimano lever shifters
New black grips
Tektro black V-brakes
'Blank' black BMX finger-brakes
Pannier rack (unbranded) and Avenir panniers and inframe carrier
Several 'frog' LEDs which shine sideways onto the spokes and 2 decent Raleigh high-intensity lights

This bike isn't a cruiser or a speeder, its a workhorse as it can carry a lot of stuff comfortably over long distances by the shortest possible route, and as it looks lke a relic of the 1980s ca be left anywhere unmolested. I spend more time working on my 3-speed but more time actually riding this one, as its silent and surprisingly quick.

Might not have been the most sensible use of funds but it'll always be the bike that I built
