Another impulse buy off ebay was delivered this morning.

I think its a 1992 but maybe someone can confirm? It takes a rear U brake.

The paint isn't great and the stem and seatpost are stuck so unless they come out with the help of FluffyChicken's vice then this may be on the way to the tip.

Ah, I had this one in my watch list too.

It looks like they have got so far with the seat post as it's now backwards. Also is the stem stuck or just the wedge?

The wedge is well and truly stuck in mine, but I just fully remove the bolt to remove the stem.

Hang the frame upside down for a few days running plusgas down the steerer and seat tube will help when the vice becomes available.

Edit to add: I notice there is the U brake guide on the seatpost still, if it does end up on route to the tip there is a request in the wanted forum for the guide. http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=156193

Lovely. GT's + U brake = winner!

If you are taking it to the skip pass it on to me and I will have a go!

If I fail then its all yours ;)

Might be a while before I get the chance to do anything to it though.

Another trick to try is warm the frame with a hairdrier and spray electronics freezer spray down the inside if the seat tube, can help crack the rust seal and then the plus-gas/wd may ease it out.
