So, thanks to Storm's post in here yesterday, I felt the need to build my own AL-1 up, basically raiding the parts bin to do so...

Rough Spec:

Frame: Fisher AL-1 Aluminium
Fork: Fisher
Headset: YST oversize 1-1/4" (nos)

Stem: Zoom
Bars: Zoom 170
Barends: Specialized
Shifters: XT STI
Brake levers: XT STI
Grips - ODI Tomac

Seatpost - Kalloy?
Seat- Gipiemme

Cranks - M730 XT
Rear Mech - M735XT
Front Mech - 500LX :oops:
Brakes - Dia-Compe 980

Hubs - DeoreDX
Rims - Wolber AT18
Tyres - Dura (front + Rear specific)

Rough weight is just under 11kg, without a chain and pedals :eek: :cool:

Seriously tho, they do actually look good on it in the flesh, no matter what anyone says... :oops: :D
 
those Tectro/ Pederson self energisers look a good but the tyres...









still no.



*edit

your chain rings are lined up wrong (unless you're doing biopace the 'right' way) and that middle ring looks past it
 
Nice job steve.......a 'parts bin' build is always satisfying in an efficient kind of way, like giving my hamster the centre from a finished loo roll.....erm.....anyway, nice job!......my griftr xl had those lines around the tyres.......
