Specialised Hardrock - Suggestions...

Hi all,

a friend has just given me his Specialised Hardrock - its a bit of a cutie really - he bought it new, a bit battered though, 17.5" frame (too small for me), pearl white with metallic blue decals and cruz decals on the seat stays!

Not quite sure how old, but I'd guess early 90s.

What should I do with it?

like this?

if so, a bit heavy and not meant for lavishing huge expense on.

Almost identical bro,

'cept the top top script and it has cruz on the seatstays - all in the same typestyle.

Perhaps I'll just clean and service it and keep if visitors want a ride.

Cheers, Roadking.

I've got one of these frames in my loft - Hardrock Cruz 19". If anyone wants it, can collect for free, otherwise its going down the tip as it needs a fair bit of work. Stuck bottom bracket, rust and all. Forks are not too bad though and gave been stripped of paint.

The headset on mine was JIS 1 inch, not ISO 1 inch which was the main spanner in the works for me..... along with not having the correct bottom bracket spanner.

Clean it up, keep it as a beer scooter/guest bike

As LGF mentioned it's not worth spending too much £££ on, I'd just spend enough to keep it rolling & safe to ride, always plenty of cheap components to be found if you need non original replacement parts
