Ennerdale Water, Cumbria

What is the riding like from there.
It was proposed we might be able to use a large location to stay
nr the waters (in a NE-Yorks meet in the very cold.)

I know the vaugly the walking from there from my youth, but the riding in todays world. What's it like ?

It's a bit limited if you head east, being that you've just got a long dull forest track leading to a hike-a-bike up and over the Black Sail Pass.

Head to the West and South between Ennerdale, Gosforth and Wastwater and there are loads of great trails to piece together. The Western Lakes are a personal favourite of mine.

You could put together some very nice routes indeed.
