MOVE - Classic german bike 1945yr

Hello!
I have a classic bike from 1945 year.
It's a german brand.

Bike was rebuilded 2 yrs ago.
Frame, fork, rack and chain shield its an original parts.
Bicycle its in good condition, but bearings in bottom bracket its for change.

Oh heck! This is a first for me on this type of brake :roll: Yeh I've seen the usual rod brakes but not these things...lol
 
"Spoon brakes"

Understandably rare with pneumatic tyres - "With the introduction of mass-produced pneumatic tyres by the Dunlop Tyre Company, the use of spoon brakes began to decline, as they tended to quickly wear through the thin casing of the new tyres..." !!
 
so "spoon brakes" in english, good to know. Some classic bicycle dealers in Germany and Austria are still offering special tyres which seems to withstand the force that kind of brakes apply.

Steyr Puch did produce their "Waffenrad", with that spoon brakes, till the 80's :eek:
