I'm after some nice forks to plug into the front of my 2000/2001 Schwinn 4 Banger.
I don't have a huge budget, but I'll consider anything at the moment and I'll pay a little bit more for the right fork.
The front triangle on the Schwinn is metallic blue with white decals, and it has a carbon swingarm.
I'm after something with 4" travel in Silver/White/Blue/Black. I've got my eyes on some nice Silver/Blue Bombers but I just wanted to see what else was out there.
Oh, and the steerer tube needs to be 1,1/8". It can be fairly short as the headtube on the Schwinn is tiny! Must also have QR dropouts and must be disc compatible (either mount is fine as I have post-mount Hayes with an IS adaptor so can run both).
Some suggestions:
- Fox F100/F32s (but these might be out of my price range!)
- Pace RC40/RC41 XCAMs (so long as the travel can be dialled down to 100mm)
- Rockshox Revs
- Bombers
- Lefty (but must have 100mm travel, an 1,1/8" steerer and have a front wheel with it!).
The bike (for reference) - The Dukes are lovely, lovely forks but sadly not what I'm after for this build.
