First time writing on here although I've done an awful lot of admiring over the last few months.
Anyway my pal bought me a set of wooden mudguards for my birthday & I was thinking about building a bike around them - pretty strange way of doing it I reckon. I've got a couple of bikes (late 80s peugeot everyday bruiser & newish bianchi road bike for milege) but I'm not particularly knowledgeable about how bikes work other than basic servicing so I thought that building one would be the best way to learn.
So I'm looking for a steel frame & forks for about £100 give or take - does that sound about right? I'm about 5'10 so I guess about the 56-58cm mark.
I don't really know where to start to be honest so if anyone could point me to any useful posts I would really appreciate it.
