Rear shock advice

I have a NudeTC rear shock on my Scott and to be honest it has been a pain the rear end since it was about a year old (had the bike 3 years). Does anyone know how you make it hold air for longer than an hour ?
Or is this just duff design and I should get rid?

You've tried replacing the seals/having it serviced? There's no way it should only be holding air for that long.

I thought of that but I wouldnt expect it to need a service as although its 3 years old, I rarely use it and I reckon I have done no more than 500 miles in total, partly due to me being peed off at having to get the shock repumped beofe I use it( I eventually bought a pump from my LBS).

I'm not an expert, but the seals may deteriorate regardless of how much the shock itself is used? 12 months sounds very quick for that to happen. It looks like the shock was made by DT swiss - maybe contact them direct or someone like mojo/tf tuned for their advice.
