greasing bearings

I always put a good dollop of grease on if i ever replace bearings or fit a new headset, even on sealed jobbies.
Would i be ok doing this with a carbon frame? Would be the pivot bearings which im pretty certain wont be anywhere near the carbon, and the headset bearings which are near enough in contact with the carbon.

As iam aware normal grease can damage carbon hense why we are told not to use any on our seatposts. But you can get some stuff that is suitable and reduces the amount of torque needed or summat along them lines. Is there anything i could use on my bearings that is kind to carbon or am i just better off not using any
