There's no disc brakes on that and I don't think it's a woman's specific frame, looks the same as any other Marin I've seen, including mine.

Can you tell me what group set is on it and what wheels please. Also is that a ding on the top tube, my tablet is crap for pictures, and is there any other damage to the frame. Are the shocks smooth.
