remember using my dads in his bike shop, nice piece of (quite weighty!) kit - still didnt make me any better at getting wheels top run true in the up and down direction (whatever the techical term for that is)

seem to recall there was a cast iron wheel dish checking contraption that went with it. The shop had started in the 1890s and had some pretty old gear tucked away in the corners . . .
