Saracin survivor with 200GS !!

The irony is that you spelt it saracin which is how a lot of saracen's are listed.

Having owned and ridden one of these I can assure any potential buyer that it is worth a good deal of money for scrap metal alone. Think my 16" frame weighed in at 7lb!

Bit harsh condemning it to scrap already.

Looks to be in good original condition that one, including a reasonable pair of Tioga Farmer John's Nephew tyres.
I'm sure that the frame will be in good condition too. Saracen were powdercoating their frames in 1991 so the Tange tubeset should be well preserved.

The Sahara was always bottom of the range and it was heavy. Most of that can be attributed to the 200GS groupset though.
Once that is removed you're left with a good frame for a bombproof build.

It'll never be a lightweight but the geometry and riding position on these makes them pretty comfortable.

If it wasn't all the way down in Cornwall...

Not sure my message read properly. Just meant frame weighs a lot. But they ride ok considering. Would make a tidy cheap hack with a clean up.

They are not that great to ride - frame is a bit dead when compared to other Saricins.

Fine for a pootle off road somewhere. Somewhere nice, with tea and cake.
