UNLACED WHEEL BUILDING PROJECT:
- matching pair of NOS red ano Velocity Deep V section 26" rims with machined sidewalls and rim tape
- matching pair of near mint black Shimano Deore LX non-disc 8/9 speed hubs, late 90 model M563
- 48 x new 253mm silver Sapim Race DB spokes
- 16 x new 251mm silver Sapim Race DB spokes
I loosely laced one of the wheels to check my spoke calculations were correct (which they are) but I haven't the time to build these - or the bike to put them on anymore as 'the big cull' means I only have two disc braked bikes and a 700c hack.
Lacing caused a few marks to spoke holes on the rim, so am asking for a paltry £65 all-in, insured postage anywhere in the UK - the spokes alone cost me £33.92 from JE James Cycles so I'm definitely losing a few quid on this lot!
