Another one I spotted in a live auction.

Chromed head lugs and probably rear stays, too far away from home for me but may be of interest. Any ideas what it is?

Thanks Mike. I've put a bid on, and will bear your kind offer in mind.

The lug were available buy as a complete set going all the way back to the 60s.. I think it's fair say that it must have been a reasonable quality frame to do that.

Hopefully someone from here got a bargain then?

Looked like a drillium chainset as well, though hard to tell from the photos what sort of quality it is.

It surprises me how little some stuff goes for at the physical auctions vs eBay. It does take a little more work to find and fetch but I’ve certainly had my fair share of daft bids I’ve left end up winning the lot.

So it’s an R J Quinn, and now a healthy mark up on the auction sale price. Can’t say I haven’t done the same myself before, it is after all why I keep an eye on physical auctions local to me!

That's quite interesting as over the last year a lot of nice bikes from this auction house have ended up on e bay with London sellers
