£108 retail back in the 80's and a very basic bike :facepalm:

I had one (the black & white version) in the 90s when road bikes were exceptionally uncool - it was heavy as lead and with the steel rims there was virtually zero braking... didn't stop me doing a lot of miles on it in all weathers of course.

I'm not sure I would pay £108 for it now though, never mind £1000!

The OP does seem to find these overpriced bikes, that's all he seems to post on here, perhaps he has a vested interest in the sale?
