Believed to be Carlton Continental from about 1973. The bike has had a respray at some point, possibly originally red.

Suitable as a restoration or fixie conversion to single speed.

Tyres hold air and it rolls, although needs a front spoke. Seatpost is free and has been re-greased. The rear derailleur holds in gears 3-5 but springs to 3rd when in 1st or 2nd.

Componentry is:

- Steel frame, type unkown but not lightweight. Frame number is D6340 with an X on the base. Frame size is 57cm / 22"
- Continental cottered cranks, single 48 tooth chainring
- Shimano 333 downtube shifter
- Sachs Huret rear derailleur
- Milremo stem
- Weinmann brake levers
- Weinmann 750 Vanquer 999 front and rear centre pull brakes
- 27 1/4" wheels, 32mm tyres are hold but not cracked and have decent tread
- Specialized Riva+ saddle fitted (two cuts on top)
- Front and rear black/silver shorty mudguards

The frame has some paint scrape marks but is otherwise fine.

Collection from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, WF12 (near M1 J40, M62 J28, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and Wakefield). Shipping is possible, estimated cost £25.
