Another great thing is about the Ceramics is that THE RIMS STAY BLACK! Which is great for the looks of your modern classic or retro road bike, black rims with silver brake surfaces when the anodising wears away just don't look good!

A note on longevity - a touring cyclist friend of mine estimates he has clocked up over 100,000 miles in around 15 years on his Mavic Ceramics, in all weathers, and the brake surface is still intact, still working great and still black! Try doing that on a rim with aluminum brake tracks...
