1960s French Diamant mixte anybody?: )

Hope this machine is in the right place here?
Looking like a late 1960s mixte, an ebay buy described as a Peugeot. It's not a Peugeot, it's a Diamant.
Not the better known German or Belgian/Norwegian Diamant, etc. but the French one, with an illustrious history if you google it. (La Francaise Diamant)

I always liked mixtes, and best to my eyes are the ones with curved laterals. Like this one: )
With 650b wheels, great guards, lights, distinctive bars & cool chain-guard, it can only be French!
This is my winter project.

Already stripped down & some paint applied to see how it looks.

French bikes like this are always going to be a little quirky to English eyes, but I love this one.
Despite the BB with its odd threading, unobtainable rear gears, etc. etc. but showing the original owners name/address plate! A nice touch I reckon.

With its multiple braze-ons for everything, it's just very nice for me.

Latest indoor pic is this one:

Getting there, but I'm looking at a 3 speed Sturmey Archer AM hub to Anglicise/civilise it;)

All comments welcome: )

Re:

Thanks for the thoughts guys. Meejoir, Anagrama & cchris2lou.
Wasn't sure if there would be much interest in this one: )

All interesting because I know nothing much about this machine yet.
I've got a quite rare-ish, 1949-ish, Carlton mixte currently also, plus I had a most beautiful (to my eyes) curvy framed Tour de Suisse.
Look: )

Now in the hands of a good friend, but a very pleasing, shapely, machine in my opinion.

My Carlton is still awaiting some attention, but it's a classy item, with double tapered, very skinny laterals & Oscar Egg Super Champion lugs.
Running with Sprint wheels here, & light as a feather.

Maybe we got a good mixte thread here?

Thanks anagrama.
Thanks for your hint! Every little helps with research. There is very little online, but I persevere: )
And record it here.
