centre to centre along the toptube is 55.9cm

If that's measured along the actual top tube, then effective ie if it was horizontal will be a bit longer

Yeah 56 actual.. its probably more likely to be the XL size (57.5 effective TT). I reckon that might be too long for the fella I am checking up on it for. But will see.
