I was going to keep this bike for winter use but now since I have purchased a Gios road bike,
the wife says one bike has to go so now my faithful Panasonic Raleigh has got to be my winter bike now.

Everything runs well on this bike and the index gears work as they should.
Frame has the odd scratch/chip as you would expect for an old 80's bike.
Been looked after over the years and nothing is seized up or broken.
Never been crashed.
Overall its a nice bike to ride and irons out the bumps in the road.

At one point I was going to strip the bike down and sell the white/silver groupset on its own but decided not to.

Have you got any pictures of the touring bike you've mentioned?

Erm! not really :? the bike itself could be a road bike but slap on some mudguards and some racks and it becomes a touring bike.

Lovely bike Ian. I'm glad you kept it all together it would be such a shame to split it. Other than the pedals and saddle it looks like original spec.

Now your winter trainer is equal to, ney better than my Sunday best!

But it doesn't look like it has any fittings for racks?
Just for you i'll edit my post and leave it as road bike! If that is ok with you

I've still got the horrible white Raleigh saddle and the pedals somewhere though i seem to remember giving the toe clips and straps away.
