Hi,

over on mtb-news.de we are thinking about getting Grafton Shifter Perches reproduced. These things are rare and sell NOS for no less than 300 EUR, prices rising...

These will work with the shifting levers of the ST-M900 (XTR, 8sp) and ST-M095 (XT, 7sp).

We need at least 15 pair.

Prices so far:

120 EUR/pair if we take 15-19 pairs
110 EUR/pair if we take 20-24 pairs Edit: we already have 19 pair so one more order and the price will be 110!
102 EUR/pair if we take 25-29 pairs
95 EUR/pair if we take 30 -34 pairs
and so on

Edit: Payment by Paypal gift is possible. Non-gift is possible if you pay extra covering the fees.

User gibihm, also registered here, will be the person officially ordering the items from the workshop and paying for them. Edit: he will also contact John Grafton regarding copyright issues.

Edit: the workshop will deliver them unpolished. However, user SYN-CROSSIS is willing to do the polishing for free. :D If you want fancy anodizing, please sort that out yourself, once you receive them.

Price without shipping. Shipping around the world with German Post, tracked and insured to 35 EUR is 5,50 EUR. Maybe add another 1,00 EUR for packaging.

If someone wants to buy, please go to this thread and post there.

If you are not registered there, it is probably the best thing to register if you want to participate.

Important: we need people who definately want to buy, not just "maybe interested".

Thank you!

mtb-news member SYN-CROSSIS will polish them for free!

edit: Rahbari was faster ;-)

PayPal possible, but you have to add 5%

Re: Grafton Shifter Perch Reproduction - the more, the cheap

We don´t have the "gift" function in Germany, if I don´t have any charges, OK.

Re: Grafton Shifter Perch Reproduction - the more, the cheap

Has anyone contacted Mr Grafton if you can copy his shifter perches?

only a thought.

@ kase1983
yes, it seems essential, at least approriate to ask John Grafton for permission. We will try to contact him. Does anybody know if user "John Grafton" at mtbr-Forum is the real guy?

@ gibihm
German paypal users can receive money sent as "gift" free of charges. However, they cannot send money as gift which is why paypal fees occur for the person receiving it.

Re: Grafton Shifter Perch Reproduction - the more, the cheap

can one mount thumbies to these...

look like they have the same 4 number, 3 postion holes...

Re: Grafton Shifter Perch Reproduction - the more, the cheap

Not sure, but doubt it. And why should one use the perches for thumbies? Perches were made so one could mount brake levers from 3rd party makers and still keep Rapidfire Plus shifers. Thumbie users were always able to mount the brake levers they wanted!

Re: Grafton Shifter Perch Reproduction - the more, the cheap

Thumbies need their mount to have a cable stop / barrel adjuster.
